Symphony

Read the "Web 2.0 Meets Music Appreciation" entry on Daniel Pink's blog and view the YouTube video. In what ways is this video a symphony of a symphony?

  1. The concept of the YouTube symphony is not new. McDonald's has put together a marching band for the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade with two musicians from each state, and they have been doing it for years. The difference here is that the judging was done by people watching recordings. I wonder how long it took for these musicians, who probably had never met before, to build working relationships that allowed for creative unity and excelllence

  2. The you tube symphony was AWESOME!! To think that so many people can come together from all over and create music is amazing. As Pink refers to symphony in the book, these people definitely put the pieces together to synthesize and come up with a great sound.

  3. I've been having difficulty with my logs not posted so I hope I'm not duplicating...

It is amazing to see all of this talent from around the world come together to create perfect harmony. It is also amazing to see the creativity used to display this talent in collages of instruments ---I loved the way they did this.
